Chocolate and Fruit Torte
A delightful summer dessert!
1 pkg brownie mix for 9x13 pan
- Prepare as directed on box but bake in a round springform pan
6 oz. cream cheese (I use low fat)
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
- Cream together and spread on top of cooled brownies, which have been removed from springform pan and placed on serving platter.
- Top with fruit of your choice.
- Melt some apple or peach jelly in the microwave and brush on top of fruit to create a shiny glaze.
- Refrigerate until time to serve. Top with whipped cream.

Chae's Russian Creme
RUSSIAN CREME
makes up to 8 servings
3/4 c. sugar
1 pk. unflavored gelatin
1/2 c. cold water
1 c. whipping cream (or half and half)
1 1/2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
fresh fruit
Combine sugar and gelatin in saucepan; stir in water and let stand for 5 minutes.
Stirring constantly, bring to a boil. Remove from heat; stir in whipping cream.
Stir in vanilla into sour cream in a bowl. Add to hot mixture slowly with wire whisk until well mixed. Pour into a bowl or mold. Chill, covered, at least 4 hours or overnight. Serve with fruit.
