Snow... snow....snow

This is today. I am snowed in for the last 24 hours and it looks like it will not end until it will be too late to dig out for church in the morning. I have been stuck at home with stomach flu since Monday (Huldy joined me on Wednesday) and now we feel well again, but still can not get out of the house. Luckily, Talitha gave me a early Birthday present of a Kindle, so I have thousands of books at my fingertips. We have 15 inches of new, wet, heavy, snow and a broken snow blower. Do I sound bitter???? Where is spring in this stupid state?

Sorry about that..... we are well, the refrigerator is full and we are not all that unhappy. Happy springtime to all.

On Monday all was well with the world. It was cloudy, but warm and I took the kids to three playgrounds while Jason and a neighbor started the planting of thousands of new trees. It felt like spring. After all it was almost the end of April.

Beautiful Day

Yesterday was our first REALLY nice day of the spring. We played outside and Jevin and Davin did some yardwork.

Jevin helped Davin dig up some of our hostas that had become too large for our garden bed. They replanted them next to the house and along the back property line.

At the Park

We visited my parents' house this weekend and the weather was perfect for playing at the park. Jevin and Enavi had a great time!

Vergas Maple Syrup Days

Just got back from the Vergas Maple Syrup Days race. Jason won a second and the picture is taken at the pancake feed. The medal is a hand crafted copper maple leaf which is especially nice. This is his second win this year. The first was for skiing and the trophy was a hand painted Swedish blue wooden horse. He is on a roll. Congratulations to Jason!
